Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the dynamic world of cloud security? Join JPMorgan Chase’s Aumni Cloud Security team and play a critical role in securing our cloud-native infrastructure, safeguarding sensitive data, and ensuring operational resilience. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will help design and implement robust security frameworks across infrastructure-as-code (IaC), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. This is your chance to work on impactful security initiatives in a highly collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enforce security controls for IaC platforms such as Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Integrate security best practices into IaC pipelines and work closely with development teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
  • Secure Kubernetes environments through proper configurations, network policies, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implement remediation strategies across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
  • Define and implement security gates in CI/CD pipelines and automate security checks during application deployment workflows.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and perform root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews.
  • Support security audits, compliance checks, and governance reviews to align with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO, etc.).
  • Maintain real-time monitoring and alerting systems for proactive incident detection and response.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security, preferably in AWS environments.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) and configuration management.
  • Experience securing Kubernetes clusters, containerized workloads, and microservices-based architecture.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated security testing within DevOps processes.
  • Familiarity with network security principles, firewall configurations, IDS/IPS systems, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Ability to analyze, respond to, and document security incidents and drive continuous improvement in incident handling.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with excellent troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Cloud Security (e.g., CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Experience in governance or interactions with institutional investors, especially those working with government bond obligations.
  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.

Why JPMorgan Chase?

  • Be part of a global leader in financial services technology, security, and innovation.
  • Join a team focused on cloud-first strategies, secure DevOps practices, and enterprise-grade cloud security.
