Role Overview

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will help design and implement robust security frameworks across infrastructure-as-code (IaC), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enforce security controls for IaC platforms such as Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring secure provisioning of cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Integrate security best practices into IaC pipelines and work closely with development teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.
- Secure Kubernetes environments through proper configurations, network policies, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implement remediation strategies across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Define and implement security gates in CI/CD pipelines and automate security checks during application deployment workflows.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and perform root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews.
- Support security audits, compliance checks, and governance reviews to align with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO, etc.).
- Maintain real-time monitoring and alerting systems for proactive incident detection and response.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security, preferably in AWS environments.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation) and configuration management.
- Experience securing Kubernetes clusters, containerized workloads, and microservices-based architecture.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated security testing within DevOps processes.
- Familiarity with network security principles, firewall configurations, IDS/IPS systems, and vulnerability management tools.
- Ability to analyze, respond to, and document security incidents and drive continuous improvement in incident handling.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Cloud Security (e.g., CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar).
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Experience in governance or interactions with institutional investors, especially those working with government bond obligations.
- Degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.
