About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning & Analysis (P&A) Developer to join our retail technology team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise and functional knowledge in retail planning and allocation systems.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing P&A applications to optimize business performance, drive data accuracy, and support retail decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support P&A applications to meet evolving business requirements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
- Optimize existing systems and ensure seamless integration with retail applications.
- Support Assortment Planning and Merchandise Financial Planning processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of database systems and ETL processes.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL.
- Experience working with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL tools.
- Proficiency in Unix and Shell Scripting.
Functional / Product Expertise:
- Experience in Assortment Planning and Merchandise Financial Planning.
- Exposure to SAS Size Optimization / Pack Optimization.
- Experience with Blue Yonder (BY/JDA) tools – Allocation, Forecasting, and Replenishment modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
- Functional knowledge of RMS Stock Ledger and Planning & Allocation (P&A) domains.
- Exposure to retail systems integration and data flow management.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Overall Experience: 5 – 10 years
- Industry Background: Retail domain preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
