Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in React and Java technologies to join our technology team in Hyderabad. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives and help shape the technology landscape by establishing best practices and driving innovation across the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with senior technical leaders and influence design decisions that impact strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to complex, high-impact technology initiatives that span across business functions.
  • Develop, test, debug, and document high-quality software solutions using React and Java technologies.
  • Establish and implement company-wide engineering standards and development best practices.
  • Evaluate large-scale technical solutions against business needs and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Guide technology teams in delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
  • Resolve sophisticated technical challenges by engaging with senior architects and external industry experts.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior developers and lead technical project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across architecture, product, and QA to ensure quality delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, or an equivalent combination of training, education, or military experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in UI and/or Middle Tier Development.
  • Strong development experience using React.js for front-end and Java/J2EE, Spring Framework for back-end solutions.
  • Proficient in developing distributed, scalable, and cloud-native applications.
  • Expertise in using PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) or OpenShift (OCP) cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with Kafka or Solace for event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed caching solutions like Coherence, Ignite, or Redis.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams with strong problem-solving and system design skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in a large investment banking or financial services environment.
  • Proficiency in OpenFin or Angular is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to microservices architecture and DevOps practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineering teams and implementing agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Leadership Expectations:

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, guiding technical teams or managing complex software development initiatives.
  • Ability to drive innovation and deliver robust, production-ready applications in a fast-paced environment.
