About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join their dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, along with proficiency in MVC frameworks and front-end technologies like jQuery or React.js. This role involves end-to-end software development — from design and coding to testing and deployment — within a client/server environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while improving existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement high-quality software solutions.
  • Debug and maintain different layers of the application including UI, API, and database.
  • Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
  • Support and maintain database integrity and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Follow best coding practices and maintain proper documentation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture in Rails.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and S.O.L.I.D. design principles.
  • Experience with jQuery and React.js preferred.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration, hosting infrastructures, and networking concepts.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and solution architecture.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
