About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant II to join our Accelerators Team. This hands-on, individual contributor role is responsible for building domain and industry-specific packaged solutions and custom applications that drive customer success. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, translating complex customer challenges into scalable solutions. From ideation to implementation, you’ll play a key role in shaping Workato’s accelerators, driving product adoption, and enabling innovation across our customer ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build reusable integration solutions and custom applications (CLIs, web apps, content portals).
- Customer Enablement: Support customers and internal teams in resolving technical challenges and implementing scalable solutions.
- Solution Evangelism: Create and deliver custom product demonstrations, solution briefs, webinars, and documentation to support adoption.
- Technical Communication: Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain technical assets, documentation, and CMS tools to enable internal teams and customers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to align solutions with business needs.
- Customer Support: Provide support during US and EMEA business hours (up to 1:00 AM IST) for about 20–25% of bandwidth.
- Product Lifecycle Contribution: Participate actively from ideation through to implementation of new accelerators and integrations.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Experience: 5–6 years of relevant experience in software design, development, and implementation.
Integration Expertise:
- 1+ years with platforms like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Oracle SOA, TIBCO, or webMethods.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices, API-based integration, event-driven architecture, and process automation.
- Hands-on experience in integration project implementation is required.
- Programming Skills: 2+ years of experience coding in JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
- API Proficiency: Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Data Structures: JSON, XML, EDI expertise.
- Cloud & Tools: Experience with iPaaS, SaaS, and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Databases: Sound knowledge of any RDBMS.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with custom connector development using iPaaS SDKs.
- Exposure to LLM applications or AI agentic frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise apps such as SAP, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, ServiceNow.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
