About the Role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (QA-focused) to join our dynamic team supporting Amazon’s Seller Growth initiatives. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of features and systems. You will work across the product lifecycle—from planning to release—executing manual test strategies, performing regression, identifying defects, and contributing to automation efforts. This is a hands-on role ideal for professionals with strong fundamentals in quality assurance, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute detailed test cases for desktop and mobile web platforms.
  • Validate features from requirement analysis to production sign-off.
  • Perform regression, exploratory, and edge case testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Write high-quality bug reports and track them using tools like Jira and Testrail.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand functional requirements and edge cases.
  • Analyze logs and backend data (APIs, RESTful services) to support issue triaging and root cause analysis.
  • Support automation initiatives and maintain test scripts in collaboration with the QA automation team.
  • Conduct sanity checks post-deployment and raise quality concerns proactively.
  • Contribute to improving test efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on manual testing experience in web-based applications or consumer product environments.
  • Proficient in writing test cases, executing test plans, and managing STLC.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using tools like Excel, Chrome DevTools, and test management platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (preferably Java or Python).
  • Exposure to Android Studio, Xcode, or similar IDEs.
  • Ability to analyze backend logs and validate APIs and integrations.
  • Experience in unit testing, core Java, and React is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
