We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Fortify SAST team. This role will focus on developing and enhancing solutions that aggregate, analyze, and visualize source code vulnerabilities to secure applications.
Your Impact
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and development of software applications across multiple platforms.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and innovations aligned with our technology roadmap.
- Review and provide feedback on designs to ensure compliance with development standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices in software design and development.
- Influence executive leadership decisions through domain expertise and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, scalable software applications.
- Create integration plans for new technologies and tools.
- Maintain builds, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement exception and error-handling mechanisms.
- Evaluate tools and processes for software testing.
- Ensure secure coding practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Java Spring Framework, J2EE, Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Microservices.
- Experience with Git, Tomcat, and CI/CD processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with software architecture for multi-platform environments.
- History of innovation with patents or deployed solutions in software design.
