Role Overview:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving hosted cloud applications. You will collaborate across product, professional services, and support teams to ensure application stability, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness, while driving automation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and maintain services/applications in collaboration with product and support teams.
- Lead datacenter migrations, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify and resolve production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and enhance automated deployment strategies for OpenText services.
- Act as an integration expert for hosted applications within CloudOps.
- Work with third-party vendors on hosted solution issues.
- Prioritize work to meet project delivery deadlines.
- Participate in scheduled weekend maintenance and deployments.
- Provide monthly 24×7 on-call support on rotation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience with cloud applications and platforms.
- Expertise in DevOps, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Strong knowledge of platform architecture, design, and high availability maintenance.
- Experience with Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes administration.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Go, Shell, Bash, Perl, PowerShell, AWK).
- Familiarity with Docker, containerized deployments, and JVM performance tuning.
- Experience in automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and GitLab CI.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills.
