Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to take ownership of large and complex projects, deliver scalable solutions, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong PHP expertise, experience in frameworks, and a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, scalable, and high-performing PHP code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Act as the lead developer on complex and large-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, and deploy new features to support business needs.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and maintain documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software and databases.
  • Ensure timely delivery of development tasks with a focus on quality and scalability.
  • Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven software development experience in PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX).
  • Expertise in PHP frameworks like CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Laravel.
  • Experience integrating Payment Gateways (PayPal, Authorize.net, Stripe, etc.).
  • Strong database skills: Postgres, MySQL (NoSQL technologies like MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Cassandra are a plus).
  • Experience developing RESTful services and loosely coupled systems.
  • Familiarity with third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Proficiency with GitHub/Bitbucket version control.
  • Strong reporting, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
