Role Overview
Accops is seeking a Senior Payroll Executive who will take ownership of payroll operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely disbursement of employee salaries. This role requires strong technical knowledge of payroll software and statutory regulations, analytical skills for variable pay and PMS handling, and a proactive approach to internal coordination and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing (monthly, quarterly, annually) for all employees.
- Manage data inputs related to salaries, bonuses, deductions, attendance, and leaves.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other applicable labor laws.
- Prepare, validate, and reconcile salary sheets, bank statements, and reports for finance disbursal.
- Collaborate with Finance for variable calculations, final settlements, and timely salary transfers.
- Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries.
- Create, maintain, and share required reports and data to Jio from the HR payroll side.
- Manage the Performance Management System (PMS):
- Coordinate goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end evaluations.
- Design and maintain variable pay and appraisal templates for various departments.
- Calculate increments and variable pay based on ratings and policies.
- Maintain and regularly update employee compensation data.
- Generate reports and dashboards for internal and external audits.
Technical Skills Required
Essential:
- In-depth understanding of payroll processes, audits, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with at least one payroll system (e.g., GreytHR, ADP, SAP, Keka, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel: Formulas, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Logical Functions.
Preferred:
- Analytical mindset with ability to resolve discrepancies and optimize payroll accuracy.
- Familiarity with payroll coordination in a technology or product-based company.
