Role Overview:
As a Senior Localization Engineer, you will manage the end-to-end localization process for OpenText’s industry-leading solutions. You will work closely with product management, development, quality assurance, documentation teams, and external vendors to deliver high-quality localized products. This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale localization projects, implement innovative processes, and contribute to OpenText’s mission of enabling global access to critical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead localization projects from planning to delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and QA.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with translation teams.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans for localization projects.
- Define, track, and maintain quality standards for localized software.
- Implement AI/LLM-driven solutions to improve localization processes.
- Oversee both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
- Work with CAT/TMS tools (e.g., SDL Passolo, SDL Trados Studio, MadCap Lingo) and file formats (SGML, XML, HTML).
- Utilize source control tools like GitLab or Perforce.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of localization project management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of internationalization/localization best practices.
- Proven leadership in managing medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in CAT/TMS tools and source control systems.
- Experience in agile and waterfall development environments.
- Growth mindset with interest in AI and industry innovations.
