Role Overview
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring code quality, and mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient Java applications using Java SE/EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.
- API Integration: Develop and integrate RESTful web services to enhance application functionality and interoperability.
- Database Management: Utilize SQL and database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Front-End Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers familiar with technologies like Angular, React, or Vue.js to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
- Version Control: Employ version control systems like Git to manage codebase and collaborate with team members.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to ensure optimal application performance.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting skill development and adherence to coding standards.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into development processes.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–6 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
