Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to support our Sales and Marketing functions. This is a critical role within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, responsible for driving financial clarity, delivering actionable insights, and enabling strategic decision-making across the business. You will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze financial performance, prepare forecasts, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Report monthly financial results for Sales & Marketing, delivering in-depth variance analysis against budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Coordinate accrual entries and support accurate month-end journal entries for related departments.
- Lead cost review discussions with business partners, identifying areas for savings and strategic reinvestment.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes including annual cost center budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Accounting teams to implement cost control initiatives and monitor actuals vs. plan.
- Provide leadership with decision-support analysis and data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal company policies in all financial reporting and planning activities.
- Drive process and system improvements within the FP&A function to increase accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
- Maintain high integrity of the financial reporting ecosystem and support development of internal controls and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or accounting.
- Strong command of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Great Plains.
- Knowledge of GAAP and ability to interpret and apply new accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ability to build models and manipulate large data sets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adaptive Insights (or similar FP&A software).
- Previous involvement in documenting or improving financial systems or workflows.
- Experience supporting Sales or Marketing departments in a finance capacity.
