We are looking for a Senior ECAD Engineer (PCB Designer – Altium Tool) responsible for PCB design, DFM implementation, and manufacturing file generation. The role requires close interaction with manufacturing teams and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant PCB designs for automotive electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PCB design using Altium tool for high-speed and analog circuits.
- Apply expertise in DDR4, LPDDR, PCIe, MIPI (10G+), power rails, analog PCB design, and clock networks.
- Create and manage library parts, placement, routing, DRC setup, and error clearance.
- Generate and validate Gerber, STEP, .dxf, BOM, and netlist files, along with DFM verification using Valor Tool.
- Implement impedance-controlled PCB designs, recommend stack-ups, and ensure EMI/EMC compliance.
- Collaborate with mechanical/electrical engineers to incorporate design changes.
- Work with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.
- Apply IPC guidelines, prepare schematics, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support prototype builds and contribute to design reviews and process improvements.
- Optimize PCB layout concepts for efficient manufacturing and cost-effectiveness.
Desired / Nice-to-Have Skillsa
- Knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis.
- Ability to review and interpret SI/PI reports and implement corrections.
- IPC certification preferred.
- Experience conducting PCB design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical / Electronics & Communication.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years in PCB design (including 5+ years in high-speed PCB design).
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC concepts, power requirements, and high-speed PCB requirements.
- Hands-on expertise in manufacturing file generation, DFM/DFT/DFX implementation, and checklist validation.
- Ability to interpret component datasheets and create accurate library parts.
