Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Scrum Master to facilitate Agile/Scrum processes for 1–2 software engineering teams. The ideal candidate will lead sprint ceremonies, ensure alignment with product roadmaps, remove blockers, and promote a culture of self-organization and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Sprint Reviews, and Backlog Refinement.
- Guide teams on Agile/Scrum practices to maximize business value delivery.
- Track and publish team metrics including velocity, burndown, and capacity; analyze and present trends to stakeholders.
- Support teams in identifying and resolving blockers, fostering self-organizing behaviors.
- Promote a safe, trusting environment that encourages open communication and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Leads, and Development Managers to ensure sprint deliverables align with the product roadmap.
- Assist with backlog refinement, release planning, and risk identification/mitigation.
- Conduct Scrum maturity assessments and guide teams toward improved performance.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of the Agile Manifesto, principles, and values.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and the software development lifecycle.
- 1–3 years of Scrum Lead experience with software development teams.
- Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and transparency.
- Ability to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.
Certification Requirements (One or more preferred)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – Scrum Alliance
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)
- ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
