Job Description

We are hiring a self-driven, passionate, and skilled Application Testing Engineer with proven experience in testing applications developed for CAD (2D/3D) visualization and configuration. This role offers the opportunity to work in a challenging, innovative environment where you will contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions for design and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform software testing and QA activities including test plan creation, test case authoring, defect tracking, automation testing, and product deployment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation: quality status reports, requirements traceability, user guides, flowcharts, and presentations.
  • Ensure QA processes are followed effectively within the Scrum team.
  • Collaborate with customers to define testing scope, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and address QA/automation needs.
  • Build and maintain test environment configurations.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, and Data Specialists to align on priorities and delivery.
  • Contribute to in-house automation tools and design, write, and execute test automation scripts.
  • Perform regression testing and support deployment readiness.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of software industry experience, including 3+ years in CAD application testing; OR 6+ years of CAD design experience with strong knowledge in software testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience testing 2D/3D CAD customization tools and web applications.
  • Strong domain knowledge of MCAD, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in software QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and test automation.
  • Experience with CAD/CAE tools for modeling, 3D solid modeling, isometric and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools and regression testing processes.
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts to identify automation opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira.
  • Willingness to work in UK/US shifts.

Good-to-Have (Preferred Skills)

  • Experience in 3D application testing and visualization.
  • Programming knowledge in C / C++.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in desktop application automation.
  • 1 year of support experience (advantage).
  • Knowledge/interest in user experience (UX) and usability standards.
  • Certification in software testing standards/QA methodologies.
