Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Consultant to design, implement, and deliver enterprise solutions using the OpenText AppWorks platform. This role involves working closely with clients to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and ensure high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in AppWorks, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and lead technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements and propose optimal solutions aligned with customer roadmaps.
- Develop solutions using AppWorks platform features, ensuring quality and scalability.
- Offer design choices, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend best-fit approaches.
- Manage requirements and change requests, maintaining clear stakeholder communication.
- Design and implement complex modules, considering both functional and non-functional needs.
- Review designs and code, implement defect prevention measures.
- Provide work estimates, assist in planning, and guide task allocation.
- Mentor technical architects and senior engineers.
- Build proof-of-concepts, demos, and pre-sales prototypes.
- Act as project manager/Scrum Master during execution phases.
- Travel as required for project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience: 12–15+ years with OpenText AppWorks/Process Suite (version 20+ mandatory).
- Strong coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in:
- Java, JavaScript, UI frameworks, Angular+ (preferred)
- XML, SOAP, REST, SOA, Object Orientation
- SQL databases, data modeling
- Network architecture, security, and SSO mechanisms
- Knowledge of OTDS, Content Server, and other OpenText products is a plus.
- Strong understanding of ERP, EAI, BPM systems.
- Customer-facing experience with solution estimation skills.
