Role Overview
Accops is looking for a dynamic and technically sound Presales Engineer to lead solution design, customer engagement, and technical consulting during the pre-sales lifecycle. The ideal candidate should be experienced in virtualization, security, and network technologies with the ability to map customer requirements to Accops’ solutions. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Presales team, ensuring team alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
- Learn and certify in Accops products and conduct detailed product presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations (on-site or remote).
- Engage with clients to gather technical requirements, present tailored solutions, and articulate the business and technical value of Accops’ offerings.
- Provide solution design, sizing, and architecture planning for Accops and associated third-party products.
- Support the sales team in building customer proposals, responding to RFPs, and providing technical support throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation such as competitive analysis, architectural diagrams, and statement of work (SoW).
- Handover project specifications and expectations to the implementation team for seamless deployment.
- Provide training and enablement to partner and customer technical teams.
- Create and maintain a knowledge base including best practices, FAQs, KB articles, and video tutorials.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to virtualization, secure access, and identity management.
- Travel to customer locations for technical meetings, POCs, and presentations, as required.
Technical Skills Required
Mandatory:
- Proven team management experience in presales or solution consulting roles.
- Strong technical foundation in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, Active Directory, and VPNs.
- Experience with security protocols and tools: SAML, SSL, HTTPS, firewalls, ZTNA, CASB, SASE, Identity Federation.
- Practical knowledge in one or more Desktop Virtualization technologies such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, WVD, or MS RDP.
- Prior experience in solution architecture, capacity planning, and sizing for enterprise deployments.
- Ability to map customer requirements to Accops solutions and deliver technical value propositions effectively.
- Understanding of solution gaps, competition, and current technology landscape in secure access and workspace virtualization.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for demos, workshops, and meetings.
Good to Have:
- Presales experience in a start-up environment.
- Knowledge of Accops products and deployment practices.
- Experience with VDI, VPN, MFA, MDM, Azure, AWS, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft licensing models for Windows Server, RDS, etc.
- Customer-facing experience with CXO-level stakeholders.
