Role Overview

We are seeking a Payments Industry Thought Leader to serve as a Business Analyst with deep expertise in payment systems, modernization initiatives, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Payment Hubs, knowledge of Canadian payment systems, and a strong background in transforming monolithic systems into microservices using domain-driven methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Payments subject matter expert (SME) to support both business development and delivery initiatives.
Lead discussions with clients and internal teams on payment system modernization, best practices, and industry trends.
Provide business and functional analysis for Payment Hub solutions.
Support the decomposition of monolithic systems into microservices using Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Leverage expertise in Canadian payment systems such as LVTS, RTR, Interac, and initiatives under Payments Canada modernization.
Research and advise on emerging payment methods like tokenization, blockchain, and AI/ML applications in fraud detection.
Engage in industry forums, conferences, and social platforms to stay ahead of market trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in the Payments Industry with proven thought leadership.
Hands-on experience with Payment Hubs and payment product implementations.
Proven expertise in domain-driven design for transitioning from monolithic to microservices architectures.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian payment systems (LVTS, RTR, Interac) and modernization programs.
Familiarity with emerging payments technologies including tokenization, blockchain, and AI/ML in fraud prevention.
Active participation in industry communities and awareness of global payment regulations.
Strong client engagement, business consulting, and communication skills.
