Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled OpenStack Administrator with 4+ years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining OpenStack infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be proficient in key OpenStack components and Linux system administration, and have strong scripting capabilities to automate operations and improve system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, deploy, and maintain OpenStack environments
  • Monitor and support OpenStack components such as Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, and Cinder
  • Perform regular Linux server administration to support OpenStack infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot OpenStack issues across various layers (compute, network, storage, identity)
  • Develop automation scripts using Python to streamline repetitive tasks
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams for system upgrades, patching, and integrations
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for system deployments and changes
Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OpenStack components:
  • Nova (Compute)
  • Neutron (Networking)
  • Keystone (Identity Service)
  • Glance (Image Service)
  • Cinder (Block Storage)
  • Expertise in Linux administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
  • Proficient in Python scripting for automation
  • Good understanding of KVM virtualization technology
  • Experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • COA (Certified OpenStack Administrator) or equivalent certifications
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
  • Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools and logging systems
  • Experience with networking concepts like VLAN, VXLAN, and SDN
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices in cloud infrastructure
