About the Role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its team of innovators and technology professionals. This is a key full-stack development role where you’ll be designing and implementing scalable, enterprise-grade applications that support mission-critical financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document Java-based applications across front-end and back-end layers.
- Lead and contribute to moderately complex technical initiatives and enterprise-scale projects.
- Drive application development using modern frameworks, both on-premises and cloud-native environments.
- Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in a full-stack capacity.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Participate in Agile scrum teams, collaborating with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead efforts in bug fixing, performance tuning, and implementing enhancements.
- Ensure security, scalability, and high performance of delivered applications.
- Support DevOps implementation including continuous integration and deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), REST APIs.
- Front-end experience with frameworks like JavaScript, React, or Angular.
- In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with unit testing (JUnit), build tools (Maven/Gradle), GitHub, and Agile methodology.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiar with message brokers like Kafka, MQ, Solace.
- Hands-on with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar container platforms.
- Knowledge of application security best practices and remediation strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in home lending or consumer lending domains.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud-native development, especially in Azure or AWS.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a geographically distributed team.
