About the Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its team of innovators and technology professionals. This is a key full-stack development role where you’ll be designing and implementing scalable, enterprise-grade applications that support mission-critical financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document Java-based applications across front-end and back-end layers.
  • Lead and contribute to moderately complex technical initiatives and enterprise-scale projects.
  • Drive application development using modern frameworks, both on-premises and cloud-native environments.
  • Work with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in a full-stack capacity.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Participate in Agile scrum teams, collaborating with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts in bug fixing, performance tuning, and implementing enhancements.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and high performance of delivered applications.
  • Support DevOps implementation including continuous integration and deployment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), REST APIs.
  • Front-end experience with frameworks like JavaScript, React, or Angular.
  • In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with unit testing (JUnit), build tools (Maven/Gradle), GitHub, and Agile methodology.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiar with message brokers like Kafka, MQ, Solace.
  • Hands-on with OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar container platforms.
  • Knowledge of application security best practices and remediation strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Background in home lending or consumer lending domains.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud-native development, especially in Azure or AWS.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a geographically distributed team.
