Our client is looking for a seasoned and visionary Head of Engineering to lead their Indian engineering division. The ideal candidate will drive strategic growth, elevate engineering practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions. You will serve as a key leadership figure in building an engineering centre of excellence in India.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Engagement:
- Lead and inspire engineering teams to foster productivity and innovation
- Mentor engineering managers and team leads for continuous growth
- Own workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies
Engineering Excellence & Delivery:
- Advance SDLC practices, DevOps culture, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
- Drive agile methodologies and implement efficiency metrics
- Champion innovation across tools, technologies, and workflows
Product Quality & Excellence:
- Ensure delivery of secure, high-performance, and reliable software
- Oversee architecture and design of scalable and robust solutions
- Enforce quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and security protocols
Strategic Leadership:
- Expand India’s footprint as a premier global engineering hub
- Align engineering with business objectives, product goals, and global strategy
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across international teams
- Stay ahead of tech trends to maintain a competitive edge
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years in software engineering, including leadership roles
- Proven success in delivering complex web-based products
- Deep knowledge of architecture, software design, security, and performance
- Experience with agile development, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Excellent English communication (verbal & written)
