Experience Required: 8+ Years in Compliance (4+ Years in Leadership)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director – Enterprise Compliance Operations to lead the implementation and execution of compliance programs across high-risk and complex regulatory environments. This leadership role will work closely with senior executives across Legal, Audit, Risk, and Business functions to ensure adherence to compliance frameworks and global standards. The Director will report directly to the Head of India & Philippines Compliance, with a functional dotted line to the Compliance Executive for Enterprise Compliance Operations and Conduct Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing compliance teams in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Manage staffing and budgeting resources to meet compliance objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

Compliance Program Execution

  • Lead and oversee implementation of companywide compliance programs with high risk and complexity.
  • Manage compliance decisions, risk control development, and regulatory escalations.
  • Supervise front-line execution of compliance procedures and provide credible challenge where required.
  • Direct the monitoring and enforcement of compliance standards, policies, and frameworks across functions.

Strategic Compliance Oversight

  • Partner with Compliance Technology and PMO teams to identify and automate manual controls through the IT strategic roadmap.
  • Harmonize and rationalize compliance policies and procedures across the enterprise.
  • Establish and track key performance and risk indicators (KPIs/KRIs) for effective oversight.

Regulatory Engagement & Risk Management

  • Serve as subject matter expert on regulatory requirements and global compliance expectations.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and legal advisors on compliance risk matters.
  • Ensure timely identification, escalation, and remediation of compliance issues and emerging risks.

Governance & Reporting

  • Contribute to Compliance Management Reporting for senior leadership and the Compliance Risk Committee.
  • Support the execution of Compliance Framework elements including risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and regulatory change.
  • Assist in developing policy and guidance in areas lacking defined regulatory precedents.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Compliance or a related risk management function.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing compliance or operational risk teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale strategic technology and compliance initiatives.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of global compliance practices, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Experience in managing functions such as Control Room, Trade Surveillance, PAT, Equity Aggregation, or Licensing & Registration.
  • Proven ability to influence across departments and drive cultural change.
  • Demonstrated success in driving simplification and automation of compliance processes.
  • Ability to handle complex regulatory environments with innovation and foresight.
