Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and PHP to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS (Node.js) and Laravel, CodeIgniter (PHP). You will be responsible for developing robust, scalable server-side applications, APIs, and system components for enterprise-grade web solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js and PHP.
- Build server-side logic using Node.js frameworks (Express.js, NestJS).
- Design and maintain backend applications using PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).
- Develop scalable RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems.
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Technical Expertise
Backend Technologies:
- Strong experience in Node.js (Express.js, NestJS)
- Proficiency in Core PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter
Additional Skills:
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, MVC architecture, and backend security best practices.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments for server-side deployment.
- Proficient in Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms, session management, and data validation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 9 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
