Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect with strong pre-sales expertise to lead client engagements and drive Azure-based transformation initiatives. This role involves building relationships with large enterprise clients, showcasing the value of Azure offerings, and supporting cloud modernization and migration strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, pre-sales acumen, and proven success in building qualified pipelines and closing Azure opportunities.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
- Build and nurture relationships with Azure Industry PSMs, serving as their primary sales point of contact.
- Develop compelling client pitches, demos, and proof-of-value presentations, highlighting Azure capabilities, customer success stories, and business impact.
- Evangelize “Power of 3” solutions and communicate the benefits of procuring Azure services via the Azure Marketplace.
- Identify unique client use cases and pain points to create tailored cloud adoption strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and sales teams to design application modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation solutions.
- Drive client conversations around Operating Systems, Active Directory, Virtualization, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Automation, Data Modeling, and Microservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Build an active opportunity pipeline and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Proactively network across industries, markets, and accounts to create new opportunities.
- Partner with clients to design modern application architectures leveraging Azure Cloud.
- Provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption frameworks, best practices, and modernization roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal Azure sales teams and partners to strengthen solution positioning.
Requirements & Experience
- 17+ years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in cloud pre-sales and solutioning.
- 5+ years of experience selling Azure solutions in High Tech, Manufacturing, or RCG industries.
- Prior experience at Microsoft Azure or a Consulting/SI Partner (preferred).
- Proven track record in pre-sales, solution architecture, and client relationship management.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, application modernization, and digital transformation.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A continuous learner, staying updated with the latest Azure innovations.
- Strong team player with appreciation for structured processes and collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Public Cloud Architectures and enterprise-scale application modernization.
- Deep technical knowledge in at least 2 of the following:
- Virtualization, Active Directory & OS
