About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to lead production operations in the Machine Shop, oversee machining activities, and ensure delivery, quality, and resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage VMC, 5-Axis, and Turn-Mill Centre setups, troubleshooting, and machining performance.
  • Plan resources (3-month rolling plan) to meet monthly production demands.
  • Improve and monitor OEE and ensure adherence to Safety, TPM, 5S, and QMS practices.
  • Maintain zero-defect production by deploying trained manpower and ensuring correct RM/TGF/tools.
  • Lead daily/weekly production planning, capacity planning, and shift readiness.
  • Address quality issues promptly and restore production with minimal downtime.
  • Support NPD projects from FAI to PPAP/Serial Production.
  • Participate in annual budget planning for manpower, tooling, consumables, and equipment.
  • Ensure dispatches as per Delivery Control Chart and coordinate with Order Fulfillment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10–15 years of experience in aerospace precision machining (Machine Shop).
  • Proven expertise in VMC, 5-Axis, and Turn-Mill machining operations.
  • Experience in OEE improvement, production planning, and quality control.
  • Hands-on exposure to CNC programming, tooling, and fixture management.Preferred Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and team-leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of precision machining of aerospace components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues.
  • Experience managing manpower and production resources efficiently.
