Role Overview

As an AI Engineer II, you will be part of a team building cutting-edge AI and generative AI-powered solutions that transform the way millions of learners engage with content. This role is ideal for junior to mid-level engineers with hands-on AI/ML expertise who want to collaborate with senior mentors and make an impact by designing intelligent systems, agentic workflows, and data-driven experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI/ML solutions, including generative AI models.
  • Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to gather requirements and design features.
  • Research, prototype, and evaluate COTS and in-house AI/ML technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain supporting systems and APIs (REST/GraphQL).
  • Build data pipelines for AI/ML, including data curation, cleansing, and processing.
  • Work with vector databases, embeddings, RAG, LangChain, AutoGen, and AI agents.
  • Apply LLMs (GPT-X, Claude, etc.) for product features and internal productivity.
  • Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and data privacy requirements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, knowledge sharing, and technical documentation.
  • Explore emerging technologies, create proof-of-concepts, and contribute to best practices.

Environment, Tools & Technologies

  • Languages & Frameworks: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
  • Generative AI: LLMs (GPT-X, Claude), LangChain, RAG, AutoGen, Agents
  • Databases: SQL (Postgres RDS/Aurora), NoSQL (Cassandra, Elasticsearch), Vector DBs
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure OpenAI, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS
  • Monitoring: New Relic, Splunk
  • Collaboration Tools: GitHub, IDE of choice, Agile/Scrum practices

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML development with exposure to generative AI.
  • Proficiency in model fine-tuning, embeddings, and NLP techniques.
  • Ability to design and document APIs, data models, and service interactions.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Testing strategies (unit, integration, system)
  • System & API security techniques
  • Data privacy and compliance
  • Microservices architecture and scaling strategies
  • Familiarity with deep learning architectures (DNN, auto-encoders, LLMs).
