Senior Statistical Analyst – Data Science & Panel Analytics

Location: Pune, India

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST (US Eastern hours during 4–6 weeks onboarding; occasional late hours for global meetings)

About the Role

Comscore is seeking a Senior Statistical Analyst to support research and development for Comscore’s panels. This role combines statistical modeling, data science, and workflow optimization to ensure high-quality data outputs. The ideal candidate will work with large datasets, implement data solutions, and collaborate across teams to improve panel processes. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create ad-hoc and reusable data solutions that drive actionable insights.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and develop automated tools to minimize manual intervention.
  • Propose and implement process improvements and optimization plans for panel assets.
  • Identify inefficiencies in panel processes and implement independent solutions.
  • Promote best practices in documentation, reproducibility, and data asset management.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Operations, and Product Management teams to deliver timely and high-quality data outputs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, or related math/engineering field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in data science projects with large datasets.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience.
  • 2+ years of Python experience.
  • 1+ year experience with workflow management systems such as Airflow.
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Excel.

Desirable/Plus:

  • Experience building dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Superset).
  • Experience implementing statistical models in production.
  • AWS experience.
  • Knowledge of implementing LLM-based data solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical solutions in plain English.
