Role Overview

Join Hero MotoCorp’s R&D team in a role focused on developing prototype sheet metal and fabrication parts for new and existing two-wheeler models. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven part development to support cutting-edge vehicle projects.

Purpose of the Role
  • Develop prototype parts in sheet metal and fabrication for new model vehicles and upgrades
  • Study engineering drawings and understand functional requirements
  • Manage development through vendors and internal sourcing for cost and quality optimization
  • Coordinate project timelines to ensure on-schedule delivery of inspected parts
Key Responsibilities
  1. New model sheet metal & fabrication prototype part development
  2. Ensure part readiness within defined project timelines
  3. Manage proto route activities for sheet metal and fabrication
  4. Coordinate inspections and ensure quality compliance of prototype parts
Education & Experience
  • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in sheet metal prototype development and part procurement
Technical Skills
  • Strong background in sheet metal and fabrication proto part development
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Knowledge of cost estimation and part procurement processes
Behavioral Traits
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive decision-maker with innovative thinking
  • Good planner and problem solver with analytical capabilities
