Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Java Full Stack Software Engineer (GSR 7 / GSR 8) to join our innovative product development team. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular, while also utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build scalable, high-performance solutions in a microservices architecture.

As a senior member, you will not only be hands-on in development but also mentor junior engineers, drive Agile best practices, and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to deliver impactful digital experiences.

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (Hybrid)
Experience: 7–10 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Design and implement scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Frontend Development: Create responsive, user-centric interfaces using Angular.
  • Cloud Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on GCP using tools like Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Functions.
  • Agile Participation: Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following industry best practices and standards.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Automate testing and deployment pipelines using tools like Cloud Build and Tekton.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance performance across backend and frontend.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain thorough documentation and support team learning through mentorship.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate closely with developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Incident Management: Assist in production support and help prioritize technical issues effectively.
Required Qualifications and Skills

  • B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or related field.

  • 7–10 years of hands-on software development experience in Java/J2EE.

  • Expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and SQL Databases.

  • Solid experience with Angular (frontend).

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of version control (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Rally or Jira.

  • Proven ability to mentor, review code, and lead technical teams.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and delivery.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated/financial environments.

  • Familiarity with Ford Credit Security & Control practices / Ford ISP standards.

  • Understanding of modern architecture standards and platform service strategies.

  • Experience coaching teams in Product Organization models and tooling.

  • Skilled in metrics-driven development and improving team performance.
